Traversée is a series of drawings on hanji paper inspired by Sketches of Korea, a book about Korean culture co-authored by Elodie Dornand Oh and Benjamin Joinau, and published by Seoul Selection.

To mark the publication of the book, Elodie Dornand Oh selected a number of her drawings to offer a more personal and humorous vision of Korea.

Her drawings play with contrasts: black and white, self and other, interior and exterior, shadow and light. At once poetic

and absurd, childlike yet intended for adults, unique yet endlessly reproducible, they reveal the richness of paradox.

With her sharp sense of humour, EDOh paints a jubilant and sensitive portrait of contemporary Korean society.
